Objective: design a nozzle for a vertical hot water storage tank to promote and maintain thermal stratification with constant flow. Solidworks FLOW CFD demonstrates the “GRAVITY “of accurate simulation. As we know, thermal dynamic analysis adjusts the mass/weight of a fluid at varying temperatures. As temperatures change the force of gravity corrects buoyancy. The unique design of our nozzle, through the application of fluid dynamics such as, velocity, uniformity of direction, volume of flow, neutralizes turbulence to maintain stratification in standard off the shelf tanks.
